Questions.
How do I convert JPG to WebP?
Drop the JPG images on the page, or choose them. Each is saved as a WebP at once. Choose Download beside one, or Download all for a .zip.
Is a WebP smaller than a JPG?
Usually, at quality 80, the default. A 1080 × 1350 photo saved as a 482 KB JPG came out as a 275 KB WebP. The page shows each file’s size before and after.
Does it lower the quality?
A little, since the WebP is compressed again at the quality you pick. Pick 92 or 100 for less loss, in a bigger file. The image keeps its own width and height.
Where can I post a WebP?
X and TikTok photo posts take WebP. Through their APIs, LinkedIn, Threads and Instagram don’t, so post the JPG there.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Each image is converted in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere or stored, and the page sets no cookies.
Why use WebP?
Every current browser shows WebP, and its files are usually smaller than a JPG’s, so a page with WebP images loads faster.
Other formats: WebP to PNG, PNG to JPG, JPG to PNG and PNG to WebP. To make a photo smaller too, use the image compressor. Every network’s photo sizes are in the social media image sizes guide.
