Questions.

What is a fancy text generator?

It swaps the letters of your text for other letters Unicode has: cursive, gothic, outline, bubble and more, most made for mathematics. They are characters, not a font setting, so they keep their look where you paste them: an Instagram, TikTok or X bio, a post, a username, a message.

Why do these fonts work on Instagram and TikTok?

Those apps don’t let you pick a font, but they show any Unicode character. Each fancy letter is its own character, so the app draws it as it is. Most phones and computers have them; a few older ones show a box instead.

Which characters change?

A to Z and a to z in every style; 0 to 9 in the styles that have digits: outline, sans, typewriter, tiny, bubble, wide, and bold and bold italic in serif and sans. Accented letters, other alphabets, punctuation and emoji stay as you typed them. Strikethrough and underline add a line through or under every character, spaces too.

Can screen readers read fancy text?

Often not. Screen readers may skip these letters, spell them out one by one or read their Unicode names, and search may not match them to the plain words. Use them for a few words or a name, not whole posts, and keep @handles, hashtags and links plain.

Do fancy letters count more?

Usually. Most take 2 of X’s 280 and 2 of LinkedIn’s 3,000, and strikethrough or underline adds 1 for every character. Check a post in the X or LinkedIn character counter.

Is my text uploaded?

No. It is changed in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere or stored, and the page sets no cookies.

Bold or italic only: the bold text generator and the italic text generator. To style some words of a post and see it as X or LinkedIn draws it, use the X text formatter or the LinkedIn text formatter.
