Who we are
Flaghand is made by Trellisbyte LLC, a California limited liability company ("Trellisbyte", "we", "us"). These Terms are an agreement between you and Trellisbyte for flaghand.com, the Flaghand app, and Flaghand's API, CLI and MCP server (together, "Flaghand"). Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
Who can use Flaghand
You must be 18 or older and able to make a binding contract. If you use Flaghand for an organization, you confirm you can accept these Terms for it. You can't use Flaghand where sanctions or export laws prohibit it.
Flaghand is in early access, so features will change.
Your account, passkey and agents
- You sign in with a passkey. Keep the devices that hold it secure.
- Approving is your act. When you approve with your passkey, you're telling us to publish that exact post, to that account, at that time, just as if you pressed Post yourself. If an X post carries a plug (a reply you approve with it), you're also telling us to post that exact reply under it once, if our hourly reads show the post reaching the likes or views you set within 8 days of going live; if they don't, the plug isn't posted. We post replies on X only to your account's own posts and to posts that mention or quote it. For any other X post, after you approve the reply, Reply on X opens X's own composer with it filled in, and you post it there yourself, under X's rules. You're responsible for what you approve.
- Your agents act under your account. What's done with an API token for your workspace counts as done by you, whether you created it, an app got it when you connected it, or an agent got it through your sign-up link. Tokens can draft, suggest, upload, check, share drafts through a preview link and ask for approval. With the permissions they have, they can also start connecting an account (you finish on the platform), cancel a post that hasn't gone out or pause posting, open Checkout or your Stripe billing page for you, cancel or keep your plan, and turn on alerts, webhooks or a calendar feed. They can't approve, schedule or post. Keep tokens secret, and revoke any you no longer trust.
- If an agent signs you up, it gets a sign-up link for you. You become our customer, and accept these Terms, when you add your passkey on that link. That agent then gets a token for your new workspace with every permission a token can have.
- Members you invite can see and work in the workspace. Owners can approve.
Connected accounts
- Connect only accounts you own or are authorized to manage.
- When you connect an X, LinkedIn, TikTok or Bluesky account, you authorize us to use its login to publish what you approve, to read what our Privacy Policy lists (such as what we published and the account's name and picture), and to do what an owner approves with their passkey: repost an X post once after the delay approved with it, edit the text of a LinkedIn post we published, or take down a post we published. You can disconnect at any time.
- Each platform's own terms and rules apply to what you post through it, including X's Rules and automation rules, LinkedIn's User Agreement and Professional Community Policies, and TikTok's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Music Usage Confirmation and Branded Content Policy, and Bluesky's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines (or those of the server that hosts your Bluesky account).
- The platforms decide what they accept and show. They can change their APIs, limit posting or suspend accounts. Flaghand isn't affiliated with or endorsed by X, LinkedIn, TikTok or Bluesky.
Your content
You keep your rights in what you put into Flaghand. You let us store, copy, process, preview and send it to the platforms you choose, and share it through the features you turn on, such as a calendar feed, only to run Flaghand for you. Suggestions your agents write are yours to use, change or ignore. AI can be wrong, repetitive or close to someone else's words, so read each one before you approve it. You confirm you have the rights to everything you post, including text, images, video and music, and that you disclose paid promotions where the law or a platform requires it. We don't claim ownership of your content or use it for advertising or AI training.
Acceptable use
You're responsible for what your agents draft and what you approve. Don't use Flaghand to:
- post spam, or the same or nearly the same content across several accounts;
- send bulk, aggressive or unwanted automated replies, mentions or messages;
- manipulate a platform with fake engagement, fake accounts or coordinated inauthentic activity, or get around a platform's limits or bans;
- impersonate anyone, or mislead people about who you are or who paid for a post;
- post anything illegal, infringing, harassing or hateful, any content that sexualizes minors, malware or scams;
- break a platform's terms or rules;
- probe or break our security, reach other workspaces, or overload Flaghand;
- resell Flaghand, or share access outside your workspace other than through a feature made for it, such as a preview link or a calendar feed.
We may remove content, pause posting or suspend an account that breaks these rules, and report it to the platform involved when that platform's terms require us to. We'll tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.
Plans, free start and renewal
- Price. $19 a month or $190 a year, in US dollars, plus any tax the law requires. The price is shown before you pay.
- Founding offer. While Flaghand is in early access, the yearly plan may be offered at $149 for the first year. After that year it renews at $190 a year until you cancel.
- Free start. A new workspace is free for its first 7 days, with no card. You and your agents can connect accounts, draft, upload media and ask for approval. Approving, scheduling and posting need a card, and so do preview links, calendar feeds and best times' reads of your X account.
- Adding a card. You add a card in Stripe Checkout, for example from your first approval link. If you open Checkout during your first 7 days, the rest of them stay free: your plan starts and we charge your card when they end, or up to 2 days later if you open it near the end. We show you the date and time before you agree. Each card gets free days on Flaghand once: if yours already had them, we charge nothing and your plan doesn't start, and you can then start it with that card, charged at once. If you open Checkout after your first 7 days, your plan starts and we charge your card at once.
- After 7 days without a card, your workspace is read-only until you add one: you can still read and export everything, disconnect accounts and revoke tokens, but you can't draft. Nothing is deleted then.
- X posts. Each month of your plan includes 300 posts to X per workspace, up to 30 of them with a link. A month runs from one renewal day to the next (on a yearly plan, from that day each month), and posts during your free days count toward the first. Each post of a thread, each plug and each repost counts once X accepts it, even if it's deleted later. Past either number, an X post that comes due is held, not posted: give it a new time after the count resets or, if only the link number ran out, remove the link. Billing shows what you've used and when it resets. Posts to LinkedIn, TikTok and Bluesky aren't counted.
- Automatic renewal. Your plan renews at the end of each month or year, and we charge the plan price for the next period, until you cancel. An introductory price lasts only for the period shown; renewals after it are at the regular price.
- Payments are processed by Stripe and appear on your statement as FLAGHAND.
- Price changes. We'll email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your renewal. You can cancel before it does.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails, posting pauses while it's retried. If it still fails, your plan ends.
- When your plan isn't active (a payment failed, or the plan was cancelled or ended), Flaghand posts nothing, including scheduled posts. Your drafts stay readable and exportable, and you can restart at any time. A post whose time passed while your plan wasn't active doesn't go out later by itself; approve it again.
Cancelling
Cancel at any time in Billing in the app, through the API, or by emailing support@flaghand.com. If you cancel before your first charge, you aren't charged. After that, cancelling stops the next renewal, and your plan works until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting your account cancels your plan at once. Free days without a card need no cancelling: we charge nothing unless you add one.
Refunds
- Payments are generally final, including for partly used periods, except as described here or where the law requires otherwise. The free days are there so you can try Flaghand before you pay.
- Billing mistakes. If we charged you twice, after your cancellation took effect, or the wrong amount, we refund the mistaken charge. Email support@flaghand.com with the details.
- No access. If you paid and can't use Flaghand because of a problem on our side, tell us. We'll fix it, or refund the affected time if we can't.
- EU and UK consumers can withdraw from their plan within 14 days of adding their card, and we'll refund everything paid under it. Tell us at support@flaghand.com, for example: "I withdraw from my Flaghand contract. Account email: … Card added on: … Name: … Date: …".
- If a payment is refunded or reversed, the period it paid for ends.
- Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Changes to Flaghand
We may add, change or remove features and supported platforms. If we stop offering Flaghand altogether, we'll email account holders at least 30 days before, and refund the unused part of any yearly plan.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using Flaghand and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or a platform's rules, puts others at risk, or isn't paid for, and we'll tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.
Disclaimers
As far as the law allows, Flaghand is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to publish exactly what you approved, when you approved it, but we don't promise that Flaghand will be uninterrupted or error-free, that a platform will accept or show a post, or that a post will reach anyone. Checks, previews and suggestions help; they aren't a guarantee.
Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, Trellisbyte isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim about Flaghand is limited to the greater of what you paid us for Flaghand in the 12 months before the claim and US$50. These limits don't apply where the law doesn't allow them, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Law and disputes
If you have a problem, write to us first, and we'll try to resolve it within 30 days.
- Governing law. These Terms are governed by California law.
- Courts. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in San Francisco County, California, though either of us may use small-claims court.
- EEA and UK consumers can also bring claims in their own country's courts and keep the mandatory protections of its law.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms, and we'll post each new version with its dates. For changes that materially affect paid plans, we'll email account holders at least 14 days before they apply, and give any longer notice the law requires. If you don't accept a change, you can cancel before it applies. Where the law requires your consent, we'll ask for it rather than treat silence as a yes.
General
- These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about Flaghand.
- If part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
- Not enforcing a right isn't a waiver of it.
- We may transfer these Terms to whoever takes over Flaghand.
- We send notices to the email address on your account.
