How does X count the characters in a post?

Each post holds 280. A link counts as 23 whatever its length, an emoji as 2, and each Chinese, Japanese or Korean character as 2.

Is my text uploaded?

No. The thread is made in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere or stored, and the page sets no cookies.
