# WebP to PNG converter

https://flaghand.com/webp-to-png converts images (WebP, PNG, JPG, GIF, AVIF, BMP, and HEIC where the browser opens it)
to PNG, JPG or WebP, many at once. Each keeps its own width and height, turned the way its EXIF says; PNG keeps every
pixel, JPG and WebP are encoded at quality 100, 92 (the default) or 80. A JPG has no transparency, so see-through
parts become white; an animated GIF, WebP or PNG keeps only its first frame, and the page says so. Each new file is
checked against the networks' photo rules as Flaghand checks them before posting: X takes JPG, PNG or WebP up to
5 MB; LinkedIn JPG or PNG up to 5 MB; Threads JPG or PNG up to 8 MB; Instagram only JPG, up to 8 MB; TikTok photo
posts JPG or WebP up to 20 MB. Download one file, or all as a .zip.

Free, no sign-up. It runs in your browser: nothing you type or add is uploaded or stored, and there is no API.

## How to use it

1. Drop, choose or paste images.
2. Pick PNG, JPG or WebP, and for JPG or WebP the quality.
3. Download one, or all as a .zip.

An agent can preset the choices in the link's hash, which never reaches a server (images can't travel in a link):

## Questions.

### How do I convert WebP to PNG?

Drop the WebP images on the page, or choose them. Each is saved as a PNG at once. Choose Download beside one, or Download all for a .zip.

### How do I convert WebP or PNG to JPG?

Pick JPG, then drop the images. A see-through background turns white, since a JPG has no transparency. Quality 92, the default, looks the same as the original for most images.

### Are my images uploaded?

No. Each image is converted in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere or stored, and the page sets no cookies.

### Why convert a WebP before posting it?

Not every network takes WebP. Through their APIs, LinkedIn and Threads take JPG or PNG and Instagram takes only JPG. X takes WebP, and TikTok photo posts take JPG or WebP but not PNG.

### Does converting lower the quality?

Not to PNG: it keeps every pixel, in a larger file. JPG and WebP are compressed again at the quality you pick. The image keeps its own width and height.

### What about an animated WebP or GIF?

Only its first frame is kept, as a still picture, and the page says so beside the file.

## Flaghand

A converted image goes into a Flaghand draft like any photo (`flaghand media upload FILE`), and its owner approves the post before it goes out.

Flaghand is X and LinkedIn posting for AI agents: your agent drafts through Flaghand's API, CLI or MCP server, you
approve the exact preview with your passkey, and Flaghand posts exactly that.
