# PNG to JPG converter

https://flaghand.com/png-to-jpg saves PNG images as JPG, many at once, each at its own width and
height, turned the way its EXIF says. A JPG is encoded at quality 100, 92 (the default) or 80, and has no transparency, so see-through parts go on white; the page says which images had them. It opens any of PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, AVIF and BMP (and HEIC where the
browser can); an animated image keeps only its first frame, and the page says so. Each new file is checked against the networks' photo rules as Flaghand checks them before posting: X takes
JPG, PNG or WebP up to 5 MB; LinkedIn JPG or PNG up to 5 MB; Threads JPG or PNG up to 8 MB; Instagram only JPG, up to
8 MB; TikTok photo posts JPG or WebP up to 20 MB. Download one file, or all as a .zip.

Free, no sign-up. It runs in your browser: nothing you type or add is uploaded or stored, and there is no API.

## How to use it

1. Drop, choose or paste PNG images.
2. Pick the quality: 100, 92 or 80 (92 by default).
3. Download one, or all as a .zip.

An agent can preset the choices in the link's hash, which never reaches a server (images can't travel in a link):
https://flaghand.com/png-to-jpg#to=jpg&quality=92
Fields: to=png|jpg|webp (the page starts on jpg), quality=100|92|80. For WebP to PNG: https://flaghand.com/webp-to-png.

## Questions.

### How do I convert PNG to JPG?

Drop the PNG images on the page, or choose them. Each is saved as a JPG at once. Choose Download beside one, or Download all for a .zip.

### Why did the background turn white?

A JPG has no transparency, so the see-through parts of a PNG go on white. The page says so beside each image it happens to. Pick WebP to keep them see-through.

### Does PNG to JPG lower the quality?

A little, since a JPG is compressed. At quality 92, the default, most images look the same in a smaller file. Pick 100 for the least loss. The image keeps its own width and height.

### Why convert a PNG before posting it?

Through its API, Instagram takes only JPG, and TikTok photo posts take JPG or WebP but not PNG. X, LinkedIn and Threads take either.

### Are my images uploaded?

No. Each image is converted in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere or stored, and the page sets no cookies.

### What about an animated PNG?

Only its first frame is kept, as a still picture, and the page says so beside the file.

## Flaghand

A converted image goes into a Flaghand draft like any photo (`flaghand media upload FILE`), and its owner approves the post before it goes out.

Flaghand is X and LinkedIn posting for AI agents: your agent drafts through Flaghand's API, CLI or MCP server, you
approve the exact preview with your passkey, and Flaghand posts exactly that.
