# LinkedIn MCP server

Flaghand is a LinkedIn MCP server for posting. Your agent writes the post, you approve it with your passkey, and Flaghand posts exactly that.

Server URL: https://app.flaghand.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP). Apps that support OAuth sign in with the owner's passkey; any other MCP client sends
a workspace token as `Authorization: Bearer tok_…`. No token can approve, schedule or post.

## Set it up

- Claude (Free, Pro and Max; Free allows one custom connector): Customize › Connectors › Add custom connector, enter Flaghand and https://app.flaghand.com/mcp, then Add and Connect, and sign in. On Team and Enterprise an Owner adds it under Organization settings › Connectors, then each member connects.
- ChatGPT (Business, Enterprise and Edu, on the web): Plugins › + › Add custom MCP server, enter https://app.flaghand.com/mcp under Connection, choose OAuth, create it as a plugin, install it and sign in. OpenAI's help describes read access only on Pro and doesn't establish custom servers on Plus.
- Claude Code: `claude mcp add --scope user --transport http flaghand https://app.flaghand.com/mcp`, then /mcp to sign in. Or install the plugin, skill and server together: `/plugin marketplace add https://app.flaghand.com/agent-plugin/marketplace.json`, then `/plugin install flaghand@flaghand`.
- Codex: `codex mcp add flaghand --url https://app.flaghand.com/mcp` adds the server and signs in (OAuth). With a saved workspace token instead: `codex mcp add flaghand --url https://app.flaghand.com/mcp --bearer-token-env-var FLAGHAND_TOKEN` (only the variable's name is saved).
- Cursor: open [Add to Cursor](cursor://anysphere.cursor-deeplink/mcp/install?name=flaghand&config=eyJ1cmwiOiJodHRwczovL2FwcC5mbGFnaGFuZC5jb20vbWNwIn0=), or merge {"mcpServers": {"flaghand": {"url": "https://app.flaghand.com/mcp"}}} into ~/.cursor/mcp.json, then connect Flaghand in Cursor's MCP settings and sign in.
- Gemini CLI: `gemini extensions install https://github.com/flaghand/flaghand`, restart Gemini, then /mcp auth flaghand and sign in.
- Any other MCP client: https://app.flaghand.com/mcp with OAuth, or `Authorization: Bearer tok_…`.

## What it does

- Drafts posts with photos, a video, a PDF or a poll.
- Shows each one exactly as LinkedIn will.
- Asks you. Only your passkey approves.
- Posts it now, or at its time up to 90 days out.
- X too, on the same server. https://flaghand.com/x-mcp-server

## What it doesn't do

- Company pages: Your personal profile only, for now.
- Scraping: It never reads LinkedIn outside its API.
- Messages: No DMs, no connection requests.
- Job search: Posting only.
- Read-back: LinkedIn doesn't let it check a post once it's out.

### Is there a LinkedIn MCP for Claude?

Yes. In Claude, open Customize › Connectors › Add custom connector, add https://app.flaghand.com/mcp and sign in with your passkey. It works on Claude Free, Pro and Max (Free allows one custom connector), and in Claude Code with one command.

### Is there an official LinkedIn MCP server?

No. As of October 2026 LinkedIn hasn't published one, so every LinkedIn MCP server is someone else's, Flaghand included. Flaghand posts through LinkedIn's own API, after you sign in on LinkedIn.

### How do I connect LinkedIn to ChatGPT?

On ChatGPT Business, Enterprise or Edu, on the web: Plugins › + › Add custom MCP server, enter https://app.flaghand.com/mcp, choose OAuth and sign in. On Pro, OpenAI's help describes read access only, and it doesn't offer custom servers on Plus.

### Can Claude post on LinkedIn?

With Flaghand, once you approve. Claude drafts the post, checks it and asks you. You approve the exact post with your passkey, and Flaghand posts it to your profile, now or at its time.

### Is it safe for my LinkedIn account?

Flaghand posts through LinkedIn's official API, and you connect with LinkedIn's own sign-in: no password, no cookies, no browser automation. Your agent can't approve or post; only your passkey can. Disconnect it any time.

### Can it scrape LinkedIn, send messages or search jobs?

No. It posts to your personal profile and does nothing else on LinkedIn: no scraping, no messages, no connection requests, no job search, and no company pages yet.

### What does it cost?
