# Flaghand vs SocialBee for posting with AI agents

SocialBee is a scheduler for many networks built around content categories, with its own AI Copilot, an inbox for
comments and messages, analytics and team approvals. Flaghand is a publishing desk for your own drafting agent: the agent
prepares the posts, but its credential can never approve, schedule or publish them.

## The short answer

- **Choose SocialBee** if you want the app to plan and write your posts, recycle evergreen content by category, answer
comments and messages, and report results, across many networks.
- **Choose Flaghand** if your agent already writes the posts and you want a rule the server enforces: nothing goes out
until you approve the exact post with your passkey.

## Where SocialBee is better

- **Many more networks.** SocialBee posts directly to Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn personal profiles and
company pages, X, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube, Google Business Profile and Bluesky. For others, such as Telegram and
Mastodon, its [Universal Posting](https://socialbee.com/universal-posting/) reminds you on your phone to post by hand.
Flaghand posts to X and LinkedIn personal profiles; its TikTok posting waits on TikTok's review.
- **Built-in AI.** Every plan includes unlimited AI content generation, and Copilot builds a content plan with
ready-to-use posts and a posting schedule. Flaghand leaves writing to your agent; it doesn't bundle an AI writer.
- **Evergreen content.** Posts live in content categories that rotate through a weekly schedule; they can be recycled, or
expire after a number of shares or on a date. Flaghand has planning labels and weekly posting slots, but they don't
rotate or recycle content. One owner passkey approval can cover a plan of multiple posts. An X post or thread can
also include a delayed repost in that same approval; for a thread, only its opening is reposted.
- **Engagement and analytics.** One inbox for comments, mentions and messages on several networks, and analytics with up
to two years of history and exportable reports on higher plans. Flaghand doesn't provide LinkedIn analytics.
- **A trial you can start now.** Every plan has a 14-day free trial without a credit card, and a 30-day money-back
guarantee. Flaghand is in early access: public sign-up isn't open yet.

## Agent access

SocialBee's help center says it has no public API: "At the moment, no, we don't." Its help center doesn't document
an MCP server either. An agent reaches SocialBee through automation tools: Zapier's and Make's SocialBee action creates a post,
and Make also has an action that makes authenticated calls to SocialBee's API through Make. SocialBee can also
[hand a post to your own webhook](https://help.socialbee.com/hc/en-us/articles/29979075102743-Posting-Through-Webhooks)
when it's time to publish it.

The Zapier and Make actions import each post as Approved or Draft. That's a setting in the automation step, chosen by
whoever builds it; SocialBee's pages don't describe a connection that can only create drafts. SocialBee's Contributor
role can create content but not approve it, but the pages linked here don't say how roles apply to a Zapier or Make
connection. Ask SocialBee if that boundary matters to your workflow.

Flaghand is built for an agent to connect directly. No API token scope can approve, schedule or post, on any plan. Those
routes refuse every token and accept only an owner of the workspace, signed in with a passkey. Apps that connect to
Flaghand's MCP server by OAuth, such as Claude and ChatGPT, get a draft-only token: `read`, `drafts`, `media` and
`request-approval`. Its API, OpenAPI spec and MCP tool reference are public.

## What you approve

In SocialBee, a post is either Approved, and shared at its set time, or a Draft, which isn't shared until someone sets
it to Approved. The Content Approval tab lists every draft, including posts imported from RSS feeds, CSV files and
Zapier. SocialBee's pricing table lists the post approval system on Accelerate and above. Its roles separate writing from
approving: Owners, Managers and Publishers can approve, while Contributors can only create. More than one user needs Pro,
an agency plan or a user add-on.

In Flaghand, the agent checks its drafts and asks you to approve them. Approving freezes each post into a snapshot: the
account, the time, the text, every media file and its alt text, and the exact request that will be sent. Flaghand hashes
it with SHA-256 and records your passkey signature over the hash. Changing the text, media, account or time needs a new
approval, and the scheduler checks the signed snapshot again right before posting. Flaghand draws X and LinkedIn posts to
match the real sites, and its check flags anything that wouldn't post exactly as previewed.

## After it posts

Flaghand reads each X post back and compares it with what you approved: normalized text, author, hidden reply mentions,
media count, available alt text, reply chain and quote. It doesn't verify link destinations or media-file bytes, and
LinkedIn posts aren't read back. SocialBee's linked pages, read on October 26, 2026, describe analytics after a post is
shared, not a comparison like this.

## TikTok slideshows

Through Flaghand's [slideshow API](https://app.flaghand.com/docs/slideshows), an agent lays out a TikTok photo slideshow: photos, text
and styles, slide by slide. One renderer draws it for the preview you approve and for the images TikTok receives, pixel
for pixel, and the approval covers that render's hash. The free [TikTok slideshow maker](/tiktok-slideshow-maker) uses the
same renderer. TikTok is still reviewing Flaghand: [Flaghand and TikTok](/tiktok) says what you can post until it
finishes. SocialBee lists TikTok among the networks it posts to today.

## Bringing your drafts

If you can save the posts you want to keep as CSV or JSON, Flaghand's
[migration recipe](https://app.flaghand.com/docs/agents#migrate-from-another-scheduler) describes its generic import format, and
`flaghand import FILE --dry-run` shows what it would create (the CLI isn't on npm yet). The import creates drafts, with
old times as proposed times: it doesn't approve or schedule them, and it doesn't cancel anything in SocialBee. This is a
file-based recipe, not a one-click SocialBee migration.
