# Flaghand vs Planable for approval workflows

Planable and Flaghand both put review before publishing. Planable is the stronger fit for teams coordinating client,
brand and legal approvals across many networks. Flaghand is narrower: a person and their AI agents, with a server rule
that the agent's credential cannot authorize a post.

## The short answer

- **Choose Planable** for client collaboration, configurable approvers, sequential approval stages and a wider range
of social networks. Use Pro or above and Required approval if every post needs sign-off.
- **Choose Flaghand** when an agent prepares X or LinkedIn personal-profile posts and you want owner approval over the
exact posting snapshot, with no API token permission that can approve, schedule or post.

## Where Planable is better

- **A real team approval workflow.** Pro adds Required approval; Enterprise adds Multi-level approval, where stages
run in sequence. That is a better match for a writer, brand lead, client and legal reviewer than treating every
decision as one workspace owner's passkey approval.
- **Client and internal collaboration.** Workspaces separate brands and clients. Pro and above support private team
  discussions and drafts, client membership and batch approvals. Unlimited users are included in the paid plans;
inviting another reviewer isn't another paid seat.
- **More networks.** Planable lists Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, Google Business Profile
and Threads for scheduling. Flaghand posts to X and LinkedIn personal profiles; TikTok remains subject to TikTok's
review. Don't choose Flaghand for Instagram or LinkedIn company-page publishing.
- **More than publishing.** Planable offers analytics and social-inbox add-ons, plus Canva, Slack and Zapier
integrations. Its universal-content workflow also supports collaborating on non-social content. Flaghand's limited
X read-back is not a replacement for team reporting or a social inbox.

## Pricing and access

Planable prices per workspace, not per reviewer. Basic is $39 per workspace per month on monthly billing; Pro is $59.
The pricing page labels its yearly-plan monthly equivalents as $33 for Basic and $49 for Pro, and advertises two months
free with annual billing. These are USD amounts; applicable taxes are extra. The annual figures are monthly
equivalents, not month-to-month billing.

Basic includes 4 social pages and 60 posts per workspace per month. Pro includes 10 pages and 150 posts. Enterprise
has custom pricing. **Required approval starts with Pro**, so Basic is not the price to compare if sign-off must block
publishing. The first 50 created posts are a total free trial allowance, not a monthly free plan; trial X publishing
is unavailable. Analytics and inbox add-ons cost extra on Basic and Pro.

Flaghand is in early access and public sign-up isn't open yet. This guide doesn't quote a Flaghand price; use

## Who can approve and publish

Planable has four workspace approval modes. None removes the review stage. Optional allows review without blocking
publication. Required prevents scheduling or publishing until at least one person approves. Multi-level requires each
configured stage to clear before scheduling. Required is Pro and above; Multi-level is Enterprise.

Approval and publishing permissions can belong to different people. Planable's workspace guide distinguishes a Writer
from a Contributor who can schedule and publish, and an Approver who can approve and comment. Its approval guide also
describes a per-user approval permission. These controls matter: an Optional workflow is not a required human check.

Planable supports an MCP connector on all paid tiers and a public API on Pro and Enterprise. Its integrations page
describes AI-assisted drafting, finding outstanding approvals and reading performance, as well as REST integrations.
That is agent access, not an absence of it. The cited public pages do not establish the same never-authorize token
contract as Flaghand; this guide does not claim that Planable's integrations bypass Required approval.

In Flaghand, no API token scope can approve, schedule or post. OAuth MCP connections receive `read`, `drafts`, `media`
and `request-approval`. The agent can propose a time and request approval, but neither action schedules a job. A
workspace owner approves inside Flaghand with their passkey. That boundary doesn't depend on selecting a workflow mode
or giving the agent a different team role.

## What you approve

Planable can automatically schedule an approved post when it already has a date and time. It also has a setting to
lock content after approval. With that lock enabled, a post must be unapproved before editing its copy, media, timing,
image order or destination links. Use that setting when sign-off must cover the version that goes out. Planable has
substantive approval controls; the distinction is not simply that one product has approvals and the other doesn't.

Flaghand freezes the account, time, text, media, alt text and outgoing request into a snapshot. It hashes the snapshot
with SHA-256 and records your passkey signature over the hash. Changing posting content, account or time needs a new
approval; the scheduler checks the signed snapshot again just before posting. One passkey tap can cover a plan of
multiple posts, so human approval of every post doesn't mean a separate tap for every post.

Flaghand's X and LinkedIn previews are drawn to match the real sites, and `checkDraft` flags things that wouldn't post
as previewed. A successful check is not approval. Planable's cited guides describe workflow approvals and content locks,
not this same passkey-signed snapshot contract.

## After it posts

Flaghand reads X posts back and compares normalized text, author, hidden reply mentions, media count, available alt text,
reply chain and quote with the approval. It doesn't verify link destinations or media-file identity, and there is no
LinkedIn read-back. Planable offers analytics and publishing workflows; the sources cited here don't document this same
snapshot comparison. Neither analytics nor an accepted publishing request proves every detail matches the preview.
