# LinkedIn MCP for Claude: connect LinkedIn and X to Claude

To connect LinkedIn and X to Claude, add Flaghand's MCP server, `https://app.flaghand.com/mcp`, as a custom connector under
**Customize › Connectors** and sign in. Claude can then draft LinkedIn and X posts in your chat and send them to you for
approval. You approve each exact post with your passkey, and Flaghand posts it at the time you approved.

Checked on October 28, 2026, against Claude's help center and Flaghand's setup docs, linked under [Sources](#sources).

## Connect it in five steps

1. **Add the connector.** In Claude on the web or the desktop app, open **Customize › Connectors**, click **+ Add**,
then **Add custom connector**. Name it Flaghand, enter `https://app.flaghand.com/mcp` and click **Continue**. If Claude asks how to
sign in, choose **Sign in now** and **Use Claude's published identity**. There's no client ID, secret or API key to
   make.
2. **Sign in to Flaghand.** Click **Add**, then **Connect** if Claude asks. Flaghand's page opens: sign in with your
passkey, Google or email and click **Allow** (pick the workspace first if you have more than one).
   No
account yet? Use the sign-up link on that page, **Start your free trial**, to create one with a passkey, Google or
email, without a card, then return and click **Allow**. There's no separate site sign-up to do first.
3. **Turn it on in this chat.** Open **+ › Connectors** in the chat and switch Flaghand on.
4. **Connect your social accounts.** In Flaghand, connect your LinkedIn profile and X account under **Settings › Account**.
Each network shows its own sign-in; Flaghand never asks for your LinkedIn password or browser cookies.
5. **Ask for a post.** Try:

   > Use Flaghand: draft a LinkedIn post about what I learned this week, and send it to me for approval.

Claude writes the post, Flaghand checks it against LinkedIn's rules, and Claude gives you an approval link. Open it on your phone or computer, look at the post as LinkedIn will show it, and approve
with Face ID, Touch ID or a security key. Nothing posts until you do.

On Team or Enterprise, an owner adds the connector once under **Organization settings › Connectors**, and each member
clicks **Connect** with their own Flaghand account. Claude's Free plan allows one custom connector; Pro and Max allow
more. A connector added on the web or desktop also works in Claude's mobile apps.

## What Claude can and can't do through Flaghand

| | LinkedIn | X (Twitter) |
|---|---|---|
| Draft | Posts on your personal profile, up to 3,000 characters, with up to 20 photos, one video, one PDF document or a link card | Posts and threads of 2 to 25 posts, with up to 4 photos or one video on each |
| Check | Length, media, company-page tags and the posting time | X's own character count, media, replies and the posting time |
| Approve, schedule or post | No. Only you, with your passkey | No. Only you, with your passkey |
| After posting | The post's link. LinkedIn doesn't let Flaghand read the post back | Flaghand reads the post back and compares it with what you approved |

Claude's Flaghand token has four scopes: `read`, `drafts`, `media` and `request-approval`. None of them can approve,
schedule or post, so Flaghand's server refuses Claude if it tries. You approve the exact post: its text, media,
account and time. Any change needs a new approval.

Flaghand posts to LinkedIn only through LinkedIn's official API, and only to your personal profile. It doesn't post as
a company page, and it doesn't read profiles, your feed, messages or jobs. If you need those, see
[the best LinkedIn MCP servers, compared](/docs/guides/best-linkedin-mcp-servers).

## Questions

**Is there a LinkedIn connector for Claude?** LinkedIn's own connector in Claude's directory, LinkedIn Hiring Pro,
drafts and posts one free job listing. It doesn't post to your feed. To draft posts for your profile, add a posting
MCP server such as Flaghand as a custom connector, as above.

**Can Claude post on LinkedIn?** Claude writes the post; it needs a connector to send it. With Flaghand, Claude
drafts the post and asks for your approval, and Flaghand posts it once you approve with your passkey. Saying
"approved" in the chat isn't an approval.

**What's the LinkedIn MCP server URL for Claude?** `https://app.flaghand.com/mcp`. Choose **Sign in now** when you add it; there's
no API key to paste.

**Is there a Twitter (X) MCP for Claude?** The same connector drafts X posts and threads. One approval can cover a
whole plan, such as an X thread and a LinkedIn post together.

**Does it work on Claude's free plan?** Yes. Free allows one custom connector.

**How do I take Claude's access away?** In Flaghand, open **Settings › Agents** and click **Revoke** next to Claude's
connection. It stops working at once.
