The best LinkedIn MCP servers, compared

The best LinkedIn MCP server depends on the job. To post from Claude, ChatGPT or another agent, pick one that signs in through LinkedIn's official API: Flaghand, Postiv, Zapier MCP, Composio or TryPost. To read profiles, jobs and messages, the open-source servers such as stickerdaniel/linkedin-mcp-server drive your own logged-in browser instead. LinkedIn's User Agreement forbids that, and LinkedIn says accounts that do it risk being restricted or shut down.

The short answer

LinkedIn's own connectors don't post to your feed: LinkedIn Hiring Pro in Claude posts one free job listing, and LinkedIn's plugin in ChatGPT looks up professionals.

Servers built for posting

Flaghand Your personal profile, and X LinkedIn's official API Always, by the owner's passkey $19 a month or $190 a year; see current free-start terms at /pricing
Postiv Your profile or a company page LinkedIn's official API Only if the profile has approvers set up 7-day trial; Creator Pro $99 a month, or $594 a year
Zapier MCP Your profile (Create Share Update) or a company page OAuth No Zapier step; your AI app asks before the first tool run Free: 100 tasks a month, 2 per call; Professional from $19.99 a month, billed yearly
Composio Your profile or an organization; also deletes posts and comments Composio's own LinkedIn app, by OAuth No; Composio suggests asking for one in your prompt Free Hobby plan; Pro $29 a month
TryPost Your profile and company pages you run LinkedIn's official API (w_member_social) For members set to need approval Free to self-host; Cloud $19 a month or $190 a year
Taplio Queues posts on your Taplio account Your Taplio account, with LinkedIn connected there Taplio says nothing reaches LinkedIn until you let Claude schedule or publish Plans from $39 a month, or $384 a year; the connector needs a plan with API access

Flaghand drafts, checks and asks. Its agents' tokens can't approve, schedule or post, so the post waits until you approve the exact text, media, account and time with your passkey. It also drafts X posts and threads. It posts only to personal profiles and reads nothing from LinkedIn: no profiles, feed, messages, comments or analytics. It has no free plan.

Postiv is built for LinkedIn: drafting, scheduling, comments and analytics, on profiles and company pages, with no direct messages, connection requests, job search or profile lookups. Its schedule action queues a post rather than publishing at once. Review workflows aren't included on Creator Pro. Postiv's pricing page is running a price test, so you may see other prices.

Zapier MCP gives your agent three LinkedIn actions (a profile update, a company update and a raw API request) next to thousands of other apps. Each tool call uses two tasks, so the free plan's 100 tasks are about 50 calls a month.

Composio lists 25 LinkedIn tools, from creating and deleting posts to comments and page statistics, and hands you an MCP URL per session. Its free Hobby plan includes 100,000 tool calls a month.

TryPost is an open-source scheduler (AGPL-3.0) whose MCP server has 81 tools, with approvals for members who need them. Its hosted MCP needs a paid Cloud plan.

Taplio is a listed connector in Claude's directory that drafts, queues and reads your analytics back. More in Flaghand vs Taplio.

What LinkedIn's terms say

LinkedIn's User Agreement (section 8.2) asks members not to use "software, devices, scripts, robots or any other means or processes (such as crawlers, browser plugins and add-ons or any other technology) to scrape or copy the Services", not to "use bots or other unauthorized automated methods" to send messages or create posts, and not to use another's account by "copying cookies". LinkedIn's help says members who use such tools "risk having their accounts restricted or shut down."

LinkedIn's sanctioned route for an app to post as you is its Share on LinkedIn product, whose w_member_social scope is "required to create a LinkedIn post on behalf of the authenticated member". You grant it on LinkedIn's own consent screen, and you can remove the app in LinkedIn's settings. A server that posts this way never holds your password or cookies.

Questions

Is there an official LinkedIn MCP server? Not one for your posts. LinkedIn's own connectors are narrow: LinkedIn Hiring Pro in Claude posts one free job listing, and LinkedIn's plugin in ChatGPT looks up professionals.

Is there a LinkedIn MCP for Claude? Yes. Flaghand, Postiv, Zapier MCP, TryPost and Cadenza document setup in Claude, and Taplio is in Claude's directory. Connect LinkedIn and X to Claude walks through Flaghand's.

Can a LinkedIn MCP server get my account banned? The ones that drive your browser or reuse your cookies do what LinkedIn's User Agreement forbids, and LinkedIn says it may restrict or shut down those accounts. Posting through LinkedIn's official API is the route LinkedIn offers apps.

Which ones can post to a company page? Postiv, Zapier MCP, Composio and TryPost. Flaghand can't.

Is there a free LinkedIn MCP server? For posting: Zapier MCP's free plan (about 50 calls a month), Composio's Hobby plan, or TryPost on your own server. The open-source browser servers are free but don't post, and they carry the account risk above.
